2021 OYP Summer Soccer Camp
Skills and Tactics
Through the use of relevant drills, players will be encouraged to perfect their strength and build a strong foundation where they need improvement. On day 1, depending on the player's area of needed improvement, he/she will be placed in a technical focus group for the developmental portion of the camp day. The purpose of the technical focus group is to strengthen areas of needed improvement. For example, in our dribbling focus group, we stress the importance of proper dribbling technique which involves being able to dribble the ball at a controlled pace so that players are able to execute decisions in a controlled fashion.
The OYP Summer Soccer Clinic welcomes players of all technical and tactical levels!
Competition
Each camp day, there will be time dedicated to uninterrupted scrimmaging where players will have the opportunity to put into practice what they learned from their time in the technical focus groups. On the first day of camp, players will be separated into teams and will stay on their designated teams for the duration of the camp for the purpose of building chemistry and learning how to work and communicate as a team. On the last day, wins will be tallied up and the team with the most wins will be rewarded with a winner’s certificate and a small prize.
Evaluation & Feedback
Throughout the camp, our coaches will take time to observe and assess each player. We will take note of their strengths and areas of needed improvement and we will draw up a unique technical growth plan for each player. The technical growth plan will entail professional advice and recommended improvement drills. On the last day of camp, each player will be sent home with a growth plan and an assessment sheet. The assessment sheet will contain soccer fundamentals, such as passing, shooting, dribbling, ect and our professional opinions as to where the player preformed during the camp in said areas.

Unless given special permission by guardian, campers will be placed in either our youth group (ages 6-10) or our elite group (ages 11-15)
